Pump Controller

Pump Controller

Without electronics and firmware modern motion control just would not exist. A solar-powered pump is a pump running on electricity generated by photovoltaic panels or the radiated thermal energy available from collected sunlight as opposed to grid electricity or diesel run water pumps. The operation of solar powered pumps is more economical mainly due to the lower operation and maintenance costs and has less environmental impact than pumps powered by an internal combustion engine (ICE). Solar pumps are useful where grid electricity is unavailable and alternative sources (wind) do not provide sufficient energy.

Features

  • Amplifier in rugged housing for DC- and BL-servo motors
  • Various voltage ranges: 12 to 60Vdc, 12 to 350Vdc or 24 to 650Vdc
  • Drive is IP54 rugged constructed, tropicalized for 50 deg ambient operation
  • Drive has thermal overload shut down to avoid damage to the motor and controller
  • Drive will diagnose faults like under voltage, dry running, tank empty, tank full, over current
  • +/-10V analog interface for torque or speed control
  • Compact, enclosed housing with Sub-D connectors
  • High-bandwidth, linear current control (16 bit-resolution)
  • High-efficiency PWM (20/40kHz) with parallel modulation
  • Sensor less drive
  • Hall Effect sensor (Optional) feedback for velocity control

Applications

  • Solar DC Pumps
  • BLDC / PMSM Motor drive
